High Tech Kids manages three STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs for Minnesota youth in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Volunteers serve in a variety of roles, which impact students as they make critical decisions about their education and careers. Students become technologically literate enabling them to become concerned and involved citizens.

Volunteers serve in both technical and non-technical roles such as; judges, referees, computer scoring, field techs, and emcees.

Select an age group to volunteer with by learning about each program.

Each program has volunteer roles for individuals with technical AND non-technical skills. Our programs cultivate students who are technology literate AND understand how to communicate their ideas, work collaboratively with others and give back to their community. Developing these skill-sets requires many different volunteers who can speak to and encourage the development of technical AND non-technical skills.

We schedule volunteers based on everyone’s availability throughout the season. Each event requires a specific number of volunteers and we DO NOT schedule extra volunteers for events. We respect the time you give us when you volunteer, as we understand you are busy.

Collecting volunteer’s availability allows us to balance individual volunteer interests, availability, skill-sets, and programmatic needs across our three youth robotics programs.

You may submit and change your availability throughout the season by revisiting this form. Just remember, each submission overrides the previous submission.

We offer volunteer training prior to the season in preparation for the robotics programs. Attend a training to learn more about each program and what will be asked of you as a volunteer.
