Jr. FIRST LEGO League

Junior FIRST LEGO League (Jr.FLL) was developed to introduce kids to the wonders and excitement of science, technology, and engineering. The goal of Jr.FLL is to provide an experience that will capture young children's inherent curiosity and creativity and direct it toward discovering the possibilities of improving the world around them through understanding, thought, planning, and technology.

  • Participants are ages 6 - 9, 2 - 6 members per team.
  • Teams design and construct a model using LEGO bricks and moving parts.
  • Teams create a research poster.
  • Participants are introduced to the elements of FLL: research, problem solving, basic design and engineering concepts.
  • Events and competitions are not hosted by High Tech Kids for Jr. FLL teams. However, any school or group can organize a local event. For event ideas contact High Tech Kids: holly@hightechkids.org or call us at 612.781.2203.
