Coach Training

This annual overview for all coaches is conducted early in the season. We review the robot missions, program, season timelines, resources, training events and the research topic. We will review the missions first. There is no need to register and no charge for this event. You need to only attend one. Please join us and bring your questions!

Rookie Team Training (registration opens Sept 8th)


This is a 3-hour training session for coaches and their team members. Chaperones are required and a 1:4 adult to child ratio is recommended. You will explore the four essentials for a successful FLL team: programming, robotic design, research and teamwork. 

This is for new teams or for those that need a little inspiration! Bring your laptop with software loaded, robot built, parts kit, and snack if desired. Please register for this event by contacting sarah@hightechkids.org or calling 612.781.2203, on or after September 8th. You will need to specify the number of children and adults that plan to attend and the session time. Classes do fill quickly, so register early.

Advanced Programing Training (adults only)


 This year we have added an Advanced Programming session for adults only. This is an interactive session with our programming judge to help you learn more advanced concepts. Come to watch, listen, talk and learn! Please register with Sarah at sarah@hightechkids.org or 612.781.2203. There is no fee for these events.
